Lucinda Mosquera

Lucy is a journalist, married, with two children, Juan Sebastian and Nicolás. She has been living in Battle Creek Michigan for 23 years. She is the Co-publisher of the New/New Opinion newspaper. Lucy likes to read, to dance, hiking and sharing time with her family and friends. She is passionate about working for the community and for my family.

Through the almost seventeen years that she and her husband have run the newspaper, they have organized many events for the Hispanic community in Battle Creek. They founded the organization CRECE (Centro de Recursos Comunitarios en Español), which was the base idea for the current organization Voces in Battle Creek. She has been a member of the Battle Creek Hispanic Heritage Month Committee, and leads a Spanish reading club in Battle Creek and a group called Dancing for fitness.
